Principles of Glorious.
We are all individual, and different things work better for different people and different lifestyles and stages of life, so my approach is not about strict rules and regimes. However, I do have some guiding principles to the Feel Glorious approach to health:
PRINCIPLE 2. Don’t think… Feel
We live far to much in our heads these days. There is so much information available in terms of health, it’s no wonder so many of us feel confused and overwhelmed about what to eat. And we’re living our lives counting carbs, calories, fat units – and at the mercy of scales and tape measures and what the government or media is telling us is the healthy choice.
The problem is – what we focus on grows. And before we know it, food has taken over our thoughts, and we can’t go out to dinner or to a party without worrying whether we’re “allowed” to eat the food!
So instead, start enjoying and savouring your food. Eat less junk, but eat well and eat delicious. Stop eating on the hoof, in the car, on the bus, or at your desk whilst working. Sit down, relax, and enjoy what you are eating. Use all your senses. Smell it, taste it, touch it. When you are paying attention, your body instinctively knows what to eat, when to eat, and when to stop.
Life's too short to not enjoy our food. We eat three times a day – why not make it more of a pleasure!
FOOD CHANGES EVERYTHING
